TR Strickland Obituary

TR Strickland, (45), born to Sid and Scotti Strickland on August 12, 1979, suddenly
passed away from an acute illness on November 17 th , 2024. He is survived by his loving
parents, sister, Jennifer Miller, and daughter, Alana Strickland. TR now abides with our
Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
TR was a resident of Orlando, FL since junior high, graduated from Dr Phillips High
School in 1997 and from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Criminal
Justice in 2001. He went on to proudly serve our country as an officer in the United
States Army for the next five years. During that time, he completed two tours of duty
during Operation Iraqi Freedom, was promoted to Captain, and was a twice recipient of
the Bronze Star, amongst his other many military achievements.
TR strived for excellence through the enrichment of his mind. He was an avid reader
and greatly enjoyed Biblical and historical texts, the Great Philosophers, physics, and
for amusement, fantasy novels and Marvel comics. He believed in the constant pursuit
of both knowledge and wisdom. Having already obtained an MBA with honors in
Finance and Accounting in 2009 from Regis, a private Jesuit university, he was
currently working towards his PhD of Health Sciences at Liberty, a private evangelical
Christian university. He had a certification in project management (PMP) and recently
completed the requirements for an ACHE certificate (a Board Certification in Healthcare
Management), with aspirations to run his own Value Based Care consultation firm.
Outside of his professional life, TR devoted himself to his only child, Alana (age 9),
whom he profoundly cherished. The highlight of his life, TR doted on his daughter and
spoke of being her father as his greatest joy. Together they enjoyed spending time with
family, playing board games, and finding new activities and events to experience and
share with one another.
TR was a deeply loyal son, brother, father, uncle, and friend. He will be dearly missed.
