Rosabella Azores Guadalupe, age 86, affectionately called "Rosie" by family and friends, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home in the presence of her loving family on January 2, 2026 in Orlando, Florida. She is survived by her children and grandchildren; son Felixon Emmanuel "Phil" and his wife Renee and grandchildren Braden Taylor and King Solomon; son Christopher John "Chris" and his wife Margarita "Bambi", and grandchildren Christopher John Jr., Nicholas Joseph, Victoria Elena and Marco Rafael; son Joseph Anthony "Joey" and his wife Tonya and granddaughters Ava Roseanna, Josie Grace, and Isabella "Bella" Loren.
Rosie attended Assumption Convent in Manila, Philippines from grade school through college, graduating in 1960 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. After graduation, she pursued further studies at the Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas, Texas. While at SMU, she was an active member of the Cosmopolitan Club, Newman Club, and the John F. Kennedy presidential campaign.
She returned to the Philippines where she married the love of her life, Engr. Felix "Jun" Guadalupe Jr., P.E. in 1964. They immigrated to the U.S.A. soon thereafter, living in Dallas, Texas early on until relocating to the Washington, D.C. area for the next thirty (30) years where they raised their three (3) sons. In 1995, the family moved to Orlando, Florida, where all nine (9) of their grandchildren were born. Rosie celebrated 59 years of marriage to her beloved husband Jun, prior to his passing in 2023. A loving mother, grandmother, and wife, Rosie was committed to her husband and three sons, staying at home full-time, always focused on caring for her family. She adored her grandchildren, and enjoyed family togetherness and devotion to God above all else.
All the time, Rosie maintained an incredible sense of adventure and spontaneity, excited to see the world and ready to take a road trip or hop on a jet plane at a moment's notice. She loved music and singing along to her favorite songs, knowing every word by heart. An avid tennis player since childhood, she later turned shopping into a sport! Her spirit radiated love, strength, and sacrifice.
Born in Manila to Fortunata Sahagun Mariño and Antonio Llamado Azores, Sr, Rosie was the third of fourteen (14) children, eight (8) of whom are still alive. They are Fortunata “Tania” Azores-Gunter, Ma. Victoria “Marie” Minton, Caridad “Cheri” A. de Gorostiza, Sulpicia “Suzi” M. Azores, Augusto “Tito” M. Azores, Kathryn Jean “Kathy” A. Chan, Roberto “Bobby” M. Azores and Josefina “Tinette” A. Villa. Rosie was predeceased by her parents, and siblings: Annabelle A. Cordon, Adriana "Adring" A. Cordero, Antonio "Tony" Azores Jr., Jess Azores, and William "Bill" Azores.
