Richard Darnell Coleman

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Richard Darnell Coleman, who departed this life on June 2, 2025, just days before his 65th birthday. Born and raised in Orlando, Richard dedicated his life to helping others through his longtime work in the healthcare field.

After graduating from Oak Ridge High School, he attended Valencia Community College and began what would become a 30+ year career at ORMC and Florida Hospital (now AdventHealth). As a Housekeeper and Ambulatory Services staff member, Richard was known for his deep knowledge, reliability, and caring nature. If you ever had a medical question, Richard had an answer—or knew exactly who to ask.

He also worked with RT, Dillard’s, and helped others build their businesses, always forming strong relationships along the way. Outside of work, Richard enjoyed fishing and was happiest when helping others. Generous, thoughtful, and always ready to lend a hand, he touched countless lives with his wisdom and warmth.

He will be remembered as a kind soul, a quiet helper, and a true example of love in action. His absence leaves a deep void, especially for his sister Diane and those who knew him best. Richard’s legacy of care and compassion will live on in all whose lives he touched.

Services will be held at Dobbs Funeral Home in Orlando, FL on Thursday, June 12, 2025.
