Raymond Black, Jr. Obituary

Suddenly on Saturday, October 19th in Orlando, Florida. The son of Raymond and Melvia Black, Ray grew up in Arlington, Virginia, attended Washington-Lee High, George Washington University and the Georgetown University Dental School and Medical College of Virginia. After graduation, he served his country as a dentist in the United States Air Force in Valdosta, Georgia and following that started a long and successful practice of Orthodontics in Richmond and Midlothian, Virginia. After retirement, he moved to Cape Coral, Florida where he was able to enjoy his passions of golf and fishing. He very recently had moved to Orlando.

Ray is survived by his wife, Victoria of Orlando, three devoted daughters, Lisa Herbert of Chesterfield, Virginia, Deborah Gage of Sarasota, Florida, Shannon Julian of Orlando, his sister Susie Glancy of Silver Spring Maryland, six beloved grandchildren, Jacob and Nicole Herbert, Evan and Landon Gage, and Miles and Carter Julian, great-grandson, Jhase as well as countless other loving family members and friends.
Virginia - Memorial services will be held Wednesday, November 20th at 6:00pm at Salisbury Country Club in Richmond, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Ray's name be made to First Tee, a charity for underprivileged children who are aspiring to learn to golf. https://donate.thefirsttee.org. www.thefirstteerichmondchesterfield.org Florida - Memorial services will be November 16th from 2:00-6:.00pm at their home in Orlando.
