With love, respect, and deep gratitude for the life he lived, we announce the passing of Louis Jean Belizaire, who left us on November 13th, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on January 1st, 1935, Jean was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend whose presence touched every life around him.
Jean was the loving father of seven children: Youlard, Jean Wooly, Sophia, Angelo, Jean Richard, Frantz, and Daphney. His heart was full with pride for his many grandchildren—Dave, Melvin, Christina, Aaron, Tommy, Diana, Sarah, Marie Louise, Rosie, Darline, Love, Reginald, Shania, Bradley, Brianna, Belinda, Angelica, Tanisha, and Andiglo—each bringing him joy throughout the years. His legacy continued through his great-grandchildren: Jett, Zayden, Julian, Macdarley, Dayen, and Annestancy, whose laughter always warmed his heart. He also cherished his nieces and nephews: Vania, Fredeline, Jude, Patrick, Alex, and Sherline.
In his earlier years, Jean proudly served as a military medical nurse in Haiti, caring for others with dedication and compassion. He was a man of many talents—he loved to sing, write, and read—and his joyful spirit left a lasting impression everywhere he went. A hardworking and loving father, Jean led his family with strength, faith, and unwavering love.
Throughout his life, Jean carried a deep faith in the Most High. His smile, his warmth, and his upbeat energy will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him. We do not see this as a goodbye, but rather a heartfelt “see you later,” trusting that his spirit continues on in peace.
