Jack Crandall Crawford, 91, of Winter Park, FL, passed away on April 3rd, 2025. Jack was born in Gadsden, Alabama, on July 16, 1933. After graduating from Miami Tech High School, he joined the United States Air Force. Jack was a pilot until his retirement as a Lt. Colonel after serving 22 yrs. He earned his Bachelors degree from the University of Nebraska in Omaha, and his Masters Degree from the Florida Technologic University now known as the University of Central Florida. His life was full of hobbies , including riding motorcycles and piloting boats, always saying the faster the better. After retirement his favorite hobby was building and flying remote-controlled airplanes, with the urge to fly high and fast still in his heart. He spent many hours tediously working on them, enjoying every minute. Jack was a man of great understanding, patience, and love, never one to speak before thinking. He was the rock of the family, the one whose opinion and advice was always respected. He attended Altamonte Chapel for many years and was loved by all, serving in many ways. Jack was predeceased by his wife of 70 years, Shirley Ann Crawford, joining her in heaven less than a month after she passed away. His other deceased family members include his mother, Hattie (Crawford) Doss, father Robert Crawford, his sister Katie Watts, and brothers Ree and Robert Crawford. Left behind to mourn his loss are his daughters, Peggy (Frank) Leutheuser, Amy (John) Hair, his grandchildren, Carl, Chris, Daniel, Gary, Gregory, John, Keith and Michelle, his great-grandchildren, Brittanie, Dominique, Emersyn, Iris, Jacob, Zeus and Reagan.
