George Mills Obituary

George Joseph Mills (Joe) (68) of Orlando, Fl. passed away unexpectedly on Monday,
4/13/2026, with his loving Family by his side.
Preceded in death by his parents, George Ivan Mills and Juanita Mills (Fleenor). He is
survived by his husband Mario DiBenedetto, his sister Regena Terwilliger and her husband
Twig, and many loving nieces, nephews and loving family including Tyler Koning and his
wife Hannah along with their children Conner and Makaylah, Cheyenne Arizona Koning
Keith and her husband Logan along with their children Thatcher and Juniper with an
expected third child, and cousin Larry Johnson and his wife Sonja.
Joe spent his early years in beautiful Tennessee and returned often to his cherished family
to whom he loved dearly. He relocated to Orlando as an adult and developed several
successful businesses most recently as President of CRM overseeing the maintenance of
numerous office buildings and providing employment to his cherished staff who will also
miss his loving nature and generous kindness.
Joe’s family, especially his parents, spent a great deal of time here in Orlando and truly
enjoyed their time together. His happiness was always greatest spending time with them
and sharing his life that he created here. Their presence remained with him long after they
moved on to their final resting place with pictures and personal treasures that had long
been part of their family. His heartfelt stories about them made them remain alive for the
rest of us to enjoy.
Joe also found joy and true happiness in his work with the First Baptist Church of Orlando.
What began as membership grew into a partnership offering his time and endless energy to
promote outreach, holding bible study groups and participating in numerous events. He
was well regarded and recognized for his good work by the church. He found great peace
being part of something that both he and family held in their hearts and gave him strength
to endure the struggles of so many.
Joe never forgot his humble roots and extended his love to all of God’s creatures raising
chickens, turkeys and beautiful parakeets and other exotic birds. Walking through his yard
made you feel like this country soul stood fast and deep.
Joe has had many vast and wide friendships. His smile and honest southern charm made
him welcomed everywhere he went and will be missed by so many who have expressed
their love for him as he did towards them.
Joe will be truly missed by many. A memorial service has been arranged here in Orlando
for friends and family to celebrate his wonderful life. A graveside service will also be held

in his beloved Tennessee alongside his departed parents. The details of both are noted
below.
At Joe’s request, in lieu of flowers, he requests those able to give, consider a donation to
either or both entities that he valued most and would want to have your support.
