Charles Tyrone Cheers, 60, passed away on Tuesday, January
28, 2025, at his home in Orlando, FL, surrounded by family.
Born on July 21, 1964, in Canal Zone, Panama, Tyrone, as his
family lovingly called him, was the son of Homer L. Cheers and
Diana Cheers. He migrated to his beloved Brooklyn, NY in 1969.
He worked at the United Nations in New York, NY as a security
guard and later at Medgar Evers College in Brooklyn, NY as a
cook for their cafeteria. Tyrone moved to Orlando in 2021.
Tyrone was all about love. To know him was to love him. He had
many friends all over Brooklyn. He loved his family dearly. There
was not anything he would not do for them. He never shied away
from telling them he loved them as often as he could. Although he
never had children of his own, he adored his nieces and nephew
as if they were his and had his own unique nicknames for them.
He was a man who deeply believed in God and would constantly
pray throughout the day.
Tyrone is survived by his mother and father; His sisters Candice
McQueen, Nicole Mason-Brown, Danielle Cheers and his brother,
Anthony Cheers; nieces, Sheraine (Tweety), Alliyah (Little Bit),
Shania (Chi-Chi), Chyenne (Bubbles); great-niece, Tianna (Tiny),
