Beverly Allison Treasure
February 28, 1941 – June 26, 2026

Beverly Allison Treasure, affectionately known to many as Miss Little, was born in St. Ann, Jamaica, to Mavis (nee Lennard) and Syl Treasure, who both pre-deceased her.

Beverly is survived by her 6 biological children: Lesa Innerarity-Smith, Mark Clarke (Kelly), Caroline Clarke, Charmaine Andrews (Ulysses), Sean Clarke, and Tracy Clarke- Crawford (Hassan). She also helped raise a nephew, Dennis Stultz (Clare) and a niece, Grace Reeves. But Beverly’s reach went beyond these eight, as she touched the lives of many, and held some particularly near and dear to her heart.

Beverly attended Mount Moriah Primary School, St. Ann. In her youth, she was a talented seamstress, her work requested by many, including the wife of a prime minister. She was a runner up in the Miss Jamaica beauty pageant and made her own clothes for the competition. Her love for fashion stayed with her until her death.

Beverly emigrated from Jamaica W.I. to the United States in 1968, and lived with her then husband, Anthony Clarke, in Bronx, NY. They eventually settled in Orange, NJ, where she raised her family, and opened her doors to anyone in need of a safe space.

Beverly worked at the Ward Homestead Nursing Home before attending Essex County College and becoming an operating room technician, a career move that later proved foundational to her missionary work. She worked at Morristown Memorial Hospital for over 25 years, and that experience can only be described as her labor of love. Her co-workers, doctors and nurses alike, sang her praises, admiring the passion and commitment she demonstrated as she executed her duties. Beverly’s professionalism and care for her patients was not contingent on a paycheck, as she exhibited that same level of professionalism and care for patients she served on her volunteer mission trips.

Beverly’s missionary work began in 1988 when Jamaica experienced a devastating hurricane, Gilbert. She jumped into action with friends and colleagues, formed a mission group consisting of doctors, nurses, dentists, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs, and provided medical relief for many in one of Jamaica’s neediest hours. A missionary star was born from that disaster. Beverly tirelessly fund-raised for that and subsequent mission trips to Jamaica, organizing medical teams to go across the country, setting up clinics at schools and hospitals, providing free medical services and supplies for Jamaica’s less fortunate, and school supplies for the children at her beloved Mt. Moriah School. As a true servant of Christ, Beverly ensured that the dental clinics, vaccinations, and surgeries were given to those in Jamaica’s most rural and underserved regions. There is no debate, Beverly most enjoyed providing services to the children, and they sensed her joy as they flocked to her, happy to be in her presence. But her contribution was more than real-time service. Beverly was responsible for the donation of millions of dollars’ worth of medical equipment from Morristown Memorial Hospital to hospitals throughout Jamaica. Her deep commitment to the underserved continued to the end of her life, as she worried about her beloved Mt. Moriah Primary School up till the very end, it was the hub of her missionary work.

Beverly was also an active member of First Baptist Church of Orlando. Since moving to Florida in 2008, she often told wonderful stories about her ushering and the goings on at her church. Attending church was so important to her that even after giving up driving, Beverly orchestrated a crew of people, including cousin, neighbors and grandchildren, to drive her to church on Sundays.

Beverly's legacy of service, humor, perseverance, sense of style and kindness, will be carried forward by those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her life will forever be an inspiration, a testament to the power of an indomitable spirit,  enthused with resilience. She will be greatly missed and forever remembered.

At the time of her passing, Beverly was surrounded by her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephew, and cousin. We were all there with her to send her to her glory. We are all grateful for the constant support of the First Baptist Church.

In addition to all her children, Beverly is survived by her siblings: Pamela (Lolly Treasure) Fullerton and Reuben (Treasure) Clayton, Grandchildren: Chiemeka Bowen, Dakari Smith (Jonique Smith,) Kwesi Smith, Mitchell Clarke, Danielle Clarke, Tafari Clarke-James, Kai Clarke-James, Darius Andrews, Cheyenne Clarke, Brianna Clarke, and Jordan Clarke; Great-grandkids Nya, Ajani, Bryan, and Omari; Aunt: Blanche Lennard; Cousins: Juliette Harris, Anjanette and Suzette Lennard, Lloyd Miller; Nieces: Rose Grant, Donna Johnson; nephew Christopher Grant; Honorary nieces Karen Douglas, Colleen Clarke, Kecia Dixon, Debbie Anderson-Thomas, Nikki Martin-Beneby, and Nicola Stewart-Walker; dear friends/family members: Angie Dixon, Ruth & William Edwin, Lilieth Baker, Audrey James, Olive Edwards, Dave Domville, Carl Domville, Jerome Domville, Marcia and Chester Dwyer, Howie, Marlene; and a host of friends that included her neighbors, and her church family.

Funeral services will be on July 17, 2026, 10:30 AM, at First Baptist Church of Orlando, 3000 S. John Young Parkway, Orlando, Fl., 32805; Graveside services will be held at Edgewood-Greenwood Cemetery, 141 South Edgewood Drive, Apopka, FL. The repast will occur at the church, immediately after the burial.
