King, Barbara Ann, 83, of Ocoee, FL, born December 21, 1941 in Evansville, Indiana, went home to be with the Lord on December 5, 2025. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved people and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her kindness and compassion touched many lives.
Barbara came to Florida in 1959 with her husband Charles. She was a member of West Orlando Baptist Church. She worked for Sunland Center in West Orlando for over a decade, and retired from First Baptist Church of Windermere after 18 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Chrles R King; parents Edward and Mary Louise Cornwell; siblings James F (Delores) Cornwell, Frances (Oscar) Schindler, Charles E (Janet) Cornwell, Ralph L Cornwell, Mable (Louie) Krietemeyer and Mary (Joseph) Miller. She is survived by her sons Richard A (Ellen) King – Ocoee, FL and Charles D (Vicki) King – Tavares, FL; grandchildren Mark, Jake, and Rachel King; and a great granddaughter Abigail King.
A Celebration of Life will be held at West Orlando Baptist Church on December 10th with visitation at 10:00 am and service at 11:00 am, followed by a graveside service at Ocoee Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mission Fund at West Orlando Baptist Church. Arrangements are in care of Dobbs Funeral Home.
