Albert (Al) Joseph Carl Castagna (83) of Orlando, Fl. passed away on Holy Saturday, 4/4/2026, with Family by his side.

Grateful to have shared his life, Al leaves behind his adoring wife of 5 years, Sharon Douglas, Daughters, LETITIA (Eric) Brandsgaard, Michelle (Rob) Perrotti, grandchildren, Ashley P, Brandon P, Braden B & Rebecca B. Along with brother in laws Donald Reinhardt and Lon Wachsning, sister in law, Felicia Tracy, cousins, God children, nieces, nephews, family, lifelong friends and business associates, some who became extended family, specifically the Robert Gomez family.

Reunited in death by those who preceded him are, his beloved wife, Madeline (Tracy) of 53 years, 8 months and 24 days, Baby Joey,  his 3 sisters, Lucille Hurst, Grace Reinhardt, and Joann Castagna. As well as his parents, Phillip and Rose (Petrillo) Castagna, his in-laws, Frank & Bernice (Weglarz) Tracy, many other family members and spouses of life long friends.

Al started his education in Chicago and when his Mother went blind he went off to boarding school. Returning to finish elementary school at St Ferdinand, then St Patrick High School for Boys, finishing his studies at Christian Brothers College in Tennessee, he made lifelong friends everywhere.

Al met Madi in College on a blind date and they were married January 4th, 1964. Their first bundle of joy to arrive was LETITIA, followed by baby Joey, although sadly he would leave this world before meeting the family, then with Michelle's arrival their family would be complete. Al raised his young family in Chicago while working alongside his father with Blatz and installing ceilings. After leaving the ceiling business, Al followed in his father's footsteps to the Beer business. First with Beck's Bier, then St Pauli Girl, Nordik Wolf, and San Miguel, becoming the Midwest Vice President of Sales. Always dressed to impress in a long sleeve shirt and tie, he'd be "rattling the bushes", taking names, making new friends and winning awards and trips. He was a natural, a gentleman, a true salesman. Al and Madi loved their trips to Germany and to the Philippines the best.

In the late '80's Al was asked to transfer to the sunshine state and after much deliberation, decided to leave family and friends and start a new life in the south. Little did he know that just a few years later, he would be part of a new transportation company, TransData and he and Madi would then create MBC Transportation. Together they'd build an empire of vehicles for hire and cabs, becoming the second largest taxi company in town. You can see many vechicles on the road today with Quick Transportation and Quick Cab.  Al worked tirelessly to the end. His hobbies included work, more work and lots more work.

Late 2017 Al would bury his first love. Because he's always been a lover and not a fighter, he'd meet Sharon and fall in love a second time. They would marry December 19, 2020,  go on road trips, travel, enjoy movies and make new friends. They'd be together till the end.

Al was a devout Catholic, for years he'd ushered at the 7:00 a.m. Mass, until he couldn't. Only missing Mass when in the hospital, even on vacation he'd find the closest Catholic Church to attend and make his three wishes. In addition to praying the rosary, Al could say the prayer to Saint Francis faster than the speed of light.

Al may be physically gone for now, but he will be forever in our hearts!!!! Rest in peace
